The Imported Tyre Manufacturers' Association exists to represent the interests of international tyre manufacturers actively and directly engaged in marketing their products in the United Kingdom and the European Community.

The Association dates back over thirty years, to a time when imported tyre brands first started to make an impact in the British marketplace.

It has grown ever since and now represents a dozen manufacturers and twenty-five brands of tyre, with ranges varying from car to truck, agricultural to motorcycle and earthmover.

The Association has a permanent Director and elects a President from among its members.

NEW PRESIDENT FOR ITMA
March 2010: The Association is pleased to announce the election of David Seward, Managing Director of Yokohama HPT as its new President. David Seward has over 25 years experience in the tyre industry. After graduating with an Honours Degree in Engineering, he worked for Rolls Royce for four years before joining Southam Tyres within its BFGoodrich sales team.
In 1988, David was one of the founders of Yokohama HPT Ltd, the UK distributor for the Japanese brand of high performance tyres. Since then, the company has established its Milton Keynes base, supplying tyres to its nationwide dealer network.

ITMA is a company owned and limited by the guarantee of its members and is, therefore, completely non profit-making.

ITMA is a founder member of the British Tyre Industry Federation which, together with other associations, seeks to co-operate on a wide range of issues where we have a common awareness.
